CJS Exteriors Timber 70mm Stormproof Casement Windows

70mm STORMPROOF CASEMENT WINDOWS.

Stormproof 70mm Casement Windows are suited to properties dating from circa 1945 upto the present date, the characteristics of a stormproof casement are the same as a modern PVC window, the noticable feature is that the casement protrudes externally from the surround frame but the use of a timber casement allows for a greater variety of colour and finishes.

We can specify stormproof casements in fully ENGINEERED construction, semi-engineered finger jointed construction and solid timber construction, our standard specification provides for the use of joinery graded Swedish Redwood which is slow grown and virtually knot-free, hardwood upgrades are available for a surcharge and we of course will provide honest information for the certification and sustainability of any timber selected.

The complete range of stormproof casements are fully double glazed with high performance energy-rated sealed units that have Planitherm 1.1 soft-coated emmisivity glass and Argon inert gas filled cavities as standard, all windows are fully draught-proof and supplied and fitted with multi-point, key locking handles. We offer an extensive range of glasses and glazing finishes that includes, coloured glass, leaded lights, traditional solid glazing bars, laminated glass, etched and sand-blasted white glass, acoustic glass and the full range of obscure patterned glass. Windows can be selected in a paint or stain finish from our range and we offer upgrades to any non-standard colour finish, our engineered windows can also be selected in DUAL colour which would provide a different colour or stain to the inside and outside.

Stormproof windows are all covered with a thirty year guarantee against rot, fungal decay and insect attack and the paint or stain is guaranteed against re-application for five years, it is generally recognised that pre-finished fully factory painted or stained windows have a minimum life span of forty five years and much longer intervals between re-application.
