FRENCH DOORS. French doors can be specified in a wide range of styles and design, all doors are fully made to measure and in line with our full timber product range we are able to offer fully engineered construction, semi-engineered finger-jointed construction and solid construction. Combination designs can include French doors with adjacent side panels and doors with fixed or opening fanlight windows above, we can specify double doors with a maximum combined opening width of 1800mm and a minimum opening width of 1100mm and due to the extra strength timber posesses we can offer opening doors to a maximum height of 2300mm subject to width and glass specification. We can provide doors manufactured in 70mm frames and 90mm frames and to compliment our timber window range we offer stormproof door sets and flush door sets, if you have a period Home or are selecting a leaded or traditional glazing bar, we can produce the doors and side panels with equal-sight-lines using dummy doors vents to the side panels to line through with the door glass at the top and bottom. French doors can open outwards and inwards and where required we can alter brickwork to widen or narrow an opening, CJS offer a full range of structural alterations to include lintels, brickwork removal, brickwork construction, plastering and fully making good inside and outside, we will clear all waste and these works will be undertaken by CJS Exteriors own craftsmen. Despite offering a variety of construction methods, several facts remain constant, all French doors are fully factory pre-finished in your chosen paint or stain, doors are all produced in slow grown graded Swedish redwood, all frames are fitted with factory double glazed Toughened safety glass sealed units with argon filled Planitherm 1.1 soft-coated energy glass as standard and all doors have five lever mortice dead locks and additional hook bolts with a shoot-bolt on the secondary door. Doors and combinations can be specified with leaded lights, traditional glazing bars, self-cleaning glass, acoustic glass or laminated glass, engineered products allow you to specify DUAL colour finish which provides the option of having a stain or paint to the outside and a different stain or paint on the inside. Hardware is available in brass, black or chrome finish and we can specify cabin hooks to match to secure your doors in an open position. French doors can be upgraded to hardwood or oak and these options are available at a surcharge if required, we also offer oak French doors in dry laminated oak with a natural OSMO oil stain finish, this is specifically for installations such as barns, timber framed buildings or where a more natural finish is required. |
